Hi, I’m Scott.
I’ve always felt most at home outdoors. Whether I’m hiking a wooded trail, wandering down a backroad, or simply spending time somewhere away from the noise, being outside has a way of slowing things down and putting life back into perspective.
Music has always been a big part of my life too. A good song can bring back a memory, mark a particular season of life, or say something we sometimes have trouble putting into words ourselves. I suppose writing can do much the same thing.
I’ve always been drawn to the quiet moments, the kind you find on backroads, in open fields, or in a good conversation. Swisher Road is where I share the stories, essays, and observations that come from that part of life. While not smooth, gramatically correct prose, I hope you will get something out of it. Maybe a memory, maybe a laugh, maybe just a moment you can ponder that brings you joy.
